Social Prescribing

What is social prescribing

Social prescribing is a way to help people with things in life that can affect their health and happiness.

A Social Prescribing Link Worker is someone who:

  • Listens to what’s going on in your life

  • Helps you find support for things that might be hard

  • Works with you to feel better in your body and mind

How can they help?

A Social Prescribing Link Worker can help you:

  • Find clubs, groups, or activities you enjoy

  • Get help with things like housing, money, or food

  • Feel less lonely by helping you meet people

  • Get support for stress, worries, or everyday problems

  • Build confidence and feel more in control of your life

Why is it important?

Because staying healthy isn’t just about your body — it’s also about how you feel, where you live, and what’s happening in your life.

In short:

A Social Prescribing Link Worker helps you with life’s ups and downs, so you can feel happier, stronger, and more supported.
