Local Patient Record Network
We have agreed to participate in a local project to allow local hospitals and out of hours services to view the main elements of our practice patient electronic patient record. This project has been organised by GP Care and EMIS, our IT supplier.
We feel this will be be a huge benefit to communication and treatment , and will prevent the need for asking patients repeatedly about their medical history, and medication lists.
This means that when one of our patients is seen by staff at Frendoc or Accident and Emergency at North Bristol Trust, that with the patient’s permission at the time, the clinician would be allowed to view summary information (for example medication lists, main medical problems) for that patient that are currently stored in their GP practice record.
There is no uploading of information, and they would not at present be able to make entries in your records, or amend or delete any information there. Information would only be viewed when dealing with that individual patient, and the system is secure and audit trailed. This is nothing to do with the planned national patient care record.
Patients will have the option of opting out if they wish. Further information leaflets are available at reception and from the links below.
This is planned to commence on 1st July 2011

New Pucklechurch Surgery Project
South Gloucestershire Council has agreed to allow us to submit a planning application
independent of the housing application.
We are excited to say that a planning application has now been made to South Gloucestershire Council for our new surgery build. We have spent a lot of time trying to make sure that the building will be attractive, functional and will become an asset to the village. It represents a huge improvement on the current surgery site.
Comments to the planning department are welcome via this weblink, or via the South Glos Council Planning Portal. Planning Portal Comments. We would appreciate as much community support as is possible, to give this application its best chance. We are very concerned that this may be the last opportunity we get for a New Surgery in the current financial climate.
Many thanks for your support
